This was a letter that my husband had framed for me for our 5th wedding anniversary. It is gushy and mushy and somewhat unbelievable, but the answer is Yes! He really is that wonderful. Although I think he has blinders on when it comes to me … because I am good, but not this good! But as long as he thinks so, I must be doing something right.
The best 5 years of my life on earth
The best 5 years that I have had on this wonderful planet we live on has been the last. I say this for many reasons, but first and foremost I say it because I have had the extreme pleasure and honor of having my beautiful bride by my side.
Yes, I say by my side. We are equal as much as we are one. Just as God intended that we become one, we have done so. My bride is lovely, elegant, gentle, loving, kind, caring, giving, and many more things to me. God has richly blessed me with her, and even though I know that I am never worthy of her, God has seen to it that we remain a strong and unbreakable union.
My bride has accepted me for who I am, and I her. We trust each other completely, and I feel so complete with her in my life. I can’t imagine my life without her in it. I love the way she loves my children, and accepts them for who they are. This is without a doubt one of the biggest reasons I love her so dearly.
So today I say “Happy 5 Year Anniversary” to my bride. My bride Monique. Thank you for all you do, all you have done, and all that you will do. Thank you for putting up with my ever changing world. Thank you for making our home a loving home and thank you for just being you. Don’t ever change who you are, I love you just as God has made you.
May God continue to bless you, keep watch over you, and always be at the center of your heart.
I love you babe,
Always & Forever
