Peaceful Moments

I am not really sure which of the two I enjoyed the most, the sunrise or the sunset.

I do know for sure that both were very peaceful moments that I will never forget!

Serenity Prayer

image

This is what I opened my eyes to this morning.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Amen.

I’m Alive

There is nothing that makes me feel more alive than the outdoors, a beautiful sunset and having God in my life

Healthy Relationships

Untitled

We finished our series at church on the 9 Habits of a Healthy Relationship a few weeks ago.  The series was so amazing that I wanted to document it on my blog so I could refer back to it in the years to come.   Today, I finally completed number 9 and would like to share all 9 Habits with you.  You may view these on the sidebar to the left of my page, or by selecting the menu button on the mobile site.  Or you may watch the sermon online at Sugar Creek Baptist Church (click on the link)  Enjoy!

Galatians 5:22-23 “But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit (results) in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

The moment

Flowers

wpid-20130822_2017571

I’m not normally one for flowers, would rather a nice steak, a new camera or a weekend rendezvous.   Yellow is my favorite color.  Seven Yellow roses …nestled with five red ones that signify each year of our marriage.   Now..that is sweet.

Correction 8/29/2013: So…my husband pointed out that it was 12 yellow and 5 red. I had to ask ..”Are you sure? Really?”…I should have known better. He’s always right ..sometimes. Thanks Babe!
