Happy 5th Birthday!

No Words Needed

Conversation with a Princess

OlyviaWhat is your favorite color?  Pink

What is your favorite food? Apples

What is your favorite drink? Chocolate milk

What is your favorite movie? Frozen

What is your favorite song?  Let it Go

Who is your favorite princess?  You

And all this time I thought she was the Princess!

Just when I thought nothing in life could surprise me …. as laid in the floor with my granddaughter coloring in her Mickey Mouse coloring book we have an innocent conversation.   She continues to color and belts out the answers to the questions without giving it a second thought.  I’m speechless.   After a few moments of silence,  she asks  “What’s the next question, Grammo?”   Innocence.  Sweetness.  Beauty.

Where’d My Ball Go?

20140308_142716I watched her, as she hid under the slide covering her ball up with the bark in our community park.   I wondered what she was doing, but I didn’t ask any questions.

20140308_142742 “Hey Grammo!  Have you seen my Princess ball?  I can’t find it?”  Let’s look for it.   It has to be somewhere around here.  Oh, the look on her face and her sense of accomplishment when she “found” her ball.

The innocence is so simple yet so amazing.

Wordless Wednesday: Innocence

Selfie … already?

Yes.  She did this herself.
And she’s only three.
What comes next?
I guess we’ll wait and see.

She is also quite the artist.
Maybe a cat? Or a dog?
No nothing simple.
She drew a fish-frog.

Just Because

Just because she is beautiful
Just because she makes me laugh
Just because she is innocent
Just because she gives me hope
Just because she is so sweet
Just because she is perfect

Just because she is
