This is in response to today’s Daily Prompt:
What is the one word or phrase that immediately cheers you up when you hear it?
You know, several things came to mind when I read this prompt. Lots of phrases can make me think, make me smile, make me wonder or give me warm fuzzies. But of all of them, there is only one phrase that can make me laugh almost every time.
What’s that smell?
Oh c’mon, you were thinking it!
Did it pick you up?
You know you’re laughing.
In response to this week’s weekly photo challenge: Selfie
Yes, she is only 3.
As a Zero to Hero participant my 21st task is to publish a post inspired by my post from Day 19 (new format) and publicize it on one of by social networks.
Since I don’t really want to elaborate on the idiot I dedicated my Day 19 Post to it is hard for me to be inspired to write another post on the subject. It has gone viral and I am disappointed in myself for having contributed to it. It’s done. No going back. No changing it. I also cannot publicize on any of my social networks because by preference I don’t have any. So I will leave you all with this:
I am pretty sure I can communicate well. Some people have even said too well (you know who you are) so this was not much of a challenge. The bigger challenge would have been to learn when to keep my mouth shut. The hardest part of completing this task was trying to write the post on my mobile app while on a road trip. In service. Out of service. You know the drill.
I read several of the pingbacks on the daily prompt. Let me first voice my frustration with bloggers who ping back or post in categories where thier post has nothing to do with the post or category they have attached to. Do they really have a need to be read that badly? Please. Write a book. Get a publisher. Do something other than waste my time.
A couple posts did stand out to me:
The brutal honesty of Alexia Jones on her reputation.
And Marla’s Musings who pits being liked and being respected against each other. Very well written.
Well, I guess 3 out of 4 isn’t bad. I went with the Colts because I just don’t like the Patriots. It would have been a stab in the heart to root for them. I should have known better. I never should have listened to my heart … when my head was telling me something else!
Becky, of all the games, the Chargers vs Broncos game was the best !!
As a participant in the Zero to Hero challenge my 10th task is to add a widget. I added the Zero to Hero tag and removed the tag from all of my posts. I also added a new tag for my blog Every Day in 2014 where I am trying write every day based on the WordPress ebook, 365 Writing Prompts. I think I may have over-committed myself. There are so many widgets available that my whole page could be nothing but widgets. Maybe a theme for another blog …..
As a participant in the Zero to Hero challenge my 9th task is to head a little deeper into the blogosphere and follow five more blogs or topics. Since I already have enough topics of interest I am going to choose to follow five new people. After looking over several, these are my choices:
Deb’s 365 Acts of Kindness – Tales of kind gestures.
Three by M.E. – short, sweet, thought provoking poetry.
Self Wonder – discovering your true self.
Little Things That Amuse Me – I think you get it 🙂
(I am doing this on my other blog Every Day in 2014)
