I thought the rainy weather
Would make the kids stay away
But this is really spooking them
I see them and scream “Hey!”

Tomorrow it will be over
Decorations will then come down
It’s time for the big deck party
For everyone in town!

Happy Halloween Houston!

Happy Halloween Matey

I wanted her to be Minnie Mouse.
She had a mind of her own.

Gotta love her!

3 Things I am Grateful for Today

Adam’s Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple Cheesecake with  Swirled Caramel, PB, Butterfinger chunks and Reese’s PB Cups.

Hand delivered by my husband hoping to take away my throbbing headache!

The Texans didn’t lose today!

Vacation is only 13 days away!  Let the  countdown begin!

Helen Keller

I got this picture in a text today.  I laughed.   I googled the image and found it has gone viral.

To me, this is just a reminder that things are not always how we see them, rarely how we hear them, and  usually never the way we feel them.  Our senses can play shattering tricks on us if we allow them to.

Inspired by today’s daily prompt.

25 Years!

This post is dedicated to my brother and his wife, who are celebrating 25 years of marriage today. Congratulations!  May God continue to bless your marriage!   I love you guys!

You both were so young
When you each pledged your heart
You promised each other
That you’d never part

First came Aaron
Then Zachary too
And then Kacey Mo
Your house was a zoo

You grew and you learned
Through good and bad weather
Family is important
You must stick together

With the ups and the downs
Of life everyday
You didn’t let anything
Stand in your way

A love with two faiths
While some would ask why
When it really mattered
You’d see eye to eye

You give and you take
And you laugh and you cry
You’ve persevered
While others don’t try

By example you lead
Your family comes first
With a positive outlook
Never assuming the worst

For twenty-five years
You’ve passed every test
I’m so proud of you both
And I wish you the best

You both are still young
And have so many years
To accomplish your dreams
And battle your fears

With the love and support
That you’ve found in each other
As the husband and father
And as wife and as mother

I’m sure that you both
will rock in your chair
And look at each other
When you have no more hair

He’ll think you’re beautiful
And she’ll think your hot
Even though your both tired
You give it a shot (wink-wink)

You laugh and you giggle
Oh the bond that you share
you both are so precious
what a wonderful pair!

Today in Football

We lost a lot today, but we didn’t lose our pride!

Get well Texans !!

The ABC’s

Always there for me
Because he thinks I’m worthy
Chasing my far fetched dreams
Desiring to make me feel special
Everyone needs a man like him
Freeing me from weakness
Getting my every thought
Happy just to be with me
I don’t know how I got so lucky
Just being a silly girl
Kind of a loner at times
Liking silence in the noise
Moving mountains for me
No one knows him like I do
Opening his heart to those in need
Protecting those he loves
Quitting is not in his vocabulary
Running is not an option
Sacrificing his needs for mine
Triumphant at all he does
Unaware he is so awesome
Vividly knows his purpose
Wanting the best for his family
X-rated in the bedroom
Yearning for happiness
Zany for his Dallas Cowboys

Perfection!  But for the letter Z.

Just Because

Just because she is beautiful
Just because she makes me laugh
Just because she is innocent
Just because she gives me hope
Just because she is so sweet
Just because she is perfect

Just because she is

Just because

Houston – Remember this?

As a Texan Fan, I don’t really have much to talk about lately.

But remember this?

Those were the days.
